Deborah's healthy eating campaign continues



On Monday 4th June Deborah in conjunction wiht the Olive Press in Bolton ran her second healthy eating demonstration at Sharples High School.

Deborah said "The aim of the visits and the campaign is to teach the children how easy it is to eat healthily, and about understanding where the food comes from."

"I was really impressed wiht the team at Sharples who have their own herb garden, and plan to go back to the old way of teaching Home Economics about real food and where it comes from"

"Next term Vanessa Farnworth one of the Home Economics teachers is to take the children to the local butchers, and the fish market to see first hand where the various cuts of meat come from, and what different sorts fish are available"

The next visit will be to the Withins in July.
