David Cameron spoke about the need to end the culture of violence and "reclaim the streets" in a speech in Salford on Thursday.
Citing James Brokenshire's Review of Labour's Respect Action Plan, David attacked the Government for abandoning their Respect Agenda and allowing gun crime and anti-social behaviour to increase.
And he argued both government and society have roles to play in reclaiming the streets:
- The government in making people responsible for their actions with punishment and deterrence, and getting police officers back on the streets
- And society in stopping crime before it starts.
He ended by calling on play their part in creating a society that is "stronger, more responsible and safer."
