My daughter Isabella with my Sister Amanda
My daughter Isabella was 11 on November 5th. It's a great day to have your birthday, and Oh to be 11!
We always have all the family round, my Mum makes a potato pie, my brother in law Andrew, makes it his mission to find the biggest and most ridiculous fireworks he can.
This year we had a new addition to the family as well, Noah, who absolutely gorgeous, he's 6 weeks old and is the first baby for my youngest sister Amanda. Noah sat in his pram and watched the fireworks as though they were magic.
My Dad, who had a serious stroke 4 years ago, watched from inside. Unfortunately the stroke took his speech, and left him in a wheelchair, he was half watching the fireworks and half watching the football. It's very strange what strokes do to you, he hasn't lost any understanding, but he cant speak, but he does swear terribly! The doctors warned us about this, and we all said but he's never been a swearer, he goes to church. Well I can tell you, it's like living with Father Jack, who's the one in Father Ted that swears all the time.
So we all had a great night until everyone said let's do Isabella's birthday cake, at which point I realised that I'd forgotten the cake. Well you can't be expected to remember everything.... can you.....
